What is property styling?
Property Styling utilises design principles to present a home at its best.

Do you style homes that are lived in?
Absolutely. We specialise in lived-in homes. Pets are welcome too : ) Although we do ask that pets are kept off furniture and bed linens.

Do you style outdoor areas?
Yes. We can provide outdoor furniture. We work closely with our partners Botanical Home to provide outdoor pots and plants.

Do you take the existing style of a home into consideration?
Yes. We work hard to make sure our design choices and styling details work seamlessly with the architectural features of your home.

How does your styling work into our for sale timeline?
Ideally, we visit and provide a consult with as much lead time before your listing goes live, as possible. The more time we have, the more opportunities there are for adding value. We aim to style your home the day before photography, which is usually scheduled one week before your house is live on the market.

How long does our house stay styled for?
Our hire-age terms are six weeks, beginning on the day our furnishings are placed in your home. This provides for one week of photography and prep, and a five-week campaign. Hire-age can easily be extended, on a week-by-week basis, for 10% of the initial styling fee, for as long as you require. We get in touch a week before your hire-age expires, to discuss your preferred removal date. If your home sells before your six-week hire-age expires, we can remove our furnishings early, or you can choose to keep them until your hire-age times ends.

Can you help facilitate other ‘for sale' preparations?
We can help source and oversee any interior improvements. For things outside our expertise – such as house washing, deep cleaning and gardening – we can put you in touch with our family of trusted partners.

Can you help us decide what to move or store?
Absolutely. Our property styling consult is focussed on getting specific about what should stay, what things need to shift to a different place within your home, and what needs to be stored.

What furnishings do you provide?
We provide all furnishings required to present your home at its best. This can include – beds, bedsides, lamps, bed linen, towels, bathroom smellies, plants, flowers, couches, cushions, dining tables and chairs, art, objects, books, baskets – right down to the details of a pair of glasses on top of a book. We provide a list specific to your home as part of our proposal.

What if you don't have exactly the right furnishing at hand?
If there is something specific that we think is required to present your home at its best, and we don't already own it, we will provide an upgrade option in your proposal.

How do I know if my house needs styling?
Almost no-one lives life in their home the way it needs to be presented for sale. Our eye for detail will elevate your home – making it photograph well, and thus market to its full potential.

Our agent has recommended specific changes, can you accommodate those?
Yes. We work collaboratively with your agent.

Can we just hire furnishings from you?
No. We don't hire our furnishings without our styling services, because we believe how we place things is an essential part of our value.

What is your process?
We visit for a consult. Then we discuss our suggestions and confirm your booking. We provide you with a 'how to prepare for styling day' guide. It's easy, we promise. Our desire is to make preparing your home for sale as easy and stress-free as we can.

What areas do you service?
We provide property styling consults and styling advice anywhere that has an internet connection. Our in-person styling, and hire-age of our styling furnishings, is offered to homes within the wider Devonport region.

Can we buy your styling furnishings?
Yes, some things : ) We use a combination of new, near new and vintage furnishings (some of them are even family heirlooms. If you fall in love with something that isn't for sale we can help source you something similar.
