Home with Kate is a guided interior design and re-alignment course grounded in the belief that living in a home you love brings more joy and ease to your life.

What is the time and $$ commitment?

This course can take as much bandwidth as you have or want to give it. You might complete the tasks weekly or slowly embark on the challenges over six months.

This course teaches you principles you can return to repeatedly, and all material remains available online for you to access after the course finishes.

  • This course is for anyone who loves interiors. It's for those curious about the connection between how your home feels, looks, and functions and how YOU feel. It’s for people who want their home to be different but don’t know where to start or who to ask. It’s for you if you want to pick my brains about everything I have learnt about styling, storytelling, design and decluttering. It’s for those who want to get their creativity flowing. And it’s definitely for you if you are about to embark on a renovation. It’s a course with many layers - practical, philosophical and creative.

  • All you need is yourself, time, a basic computer (access to the Internet and Zoom), pens, pencils, and paper. I provide multiple options for accessing and working through the weekly challenges.

  • So many things! The fundamentals of interior design and styling. You’ll learn to develop a colour scheme and confidently choose paint colours. How to make your budget stretch and get the things you want, by knowing where and how to source. The pitfalls and opportunities of kitchen, bathroom and laundry design. How to get the most from a renovation, insights into how to interpret plans and work with contractors. A manageable approach to decluttering. DIY tips and hacks. You’ll learn how to create the home YOU love.

  • The course runs for six weeks, with follow-ups at one and six months. Changes take time. The six-week timeframe allows for intensive knowledge exchange - then slow embedding, and action can follow.
