chic surf shack
This Pauanui Residence is a bolt-hole surf pad designed for our clients' once-a-year extended summer holidays – with spaces explicitly arranged to meet their needs so they can return, unwind and enjoy.

This house has a small footprint, so the first step was getting the layout right and ensuring it incorporated everything the client needed. Next, we developed the colour scheme and mood board – bouncing off one image the client had found of their vision. We worked closely with the kitchen manufacturer on layout and surface specifications for the kitchen and bathroom – designing the island to house Ikea bins for extra storage. We furnished this house right down to the vase of bunny ears: window treatments, rugs, lighting, furniture, cushions, linens & towels, art and accessories. Then we put it all in the right place.
