Mood-board / A palette inspired by the house of angels

The House of Angels – as I have nicknamed it – is the colourful home of Sharon and her standard poodle Pearl.

Pearl – and the Wagener Cooktop fire she lies in front of – are the only two black things in this house. Every surface – from the exterior to the furnishings – has been brushed with colour, pattern, or both. It’s a breath of playful air.

I visited Sharon and Pearl on a bright and brisk autumnal day. We drank chai tea, brewed from scratch in a pan. The table was dressed with vintage linens, mixed – not matched – china, fresh-picked flowers, and a plate of warm banana muffins.

We talked about  the journey that led Sharon to craft to this colourful haven. You can read the full story about her home here, on HOUZZ >>>

Sharon enjoys making mosaics. She made this one on her front doorstep from chipped plates and cups from her china collection. Stepping over the threshold, the House of Angels lovingly wraps you in a comfortable blanket of homeliness.

We enjoyed the carefree, eclectic nature of Sharons space soooooo much that we’ve compiled our own shopping list for injecting some ‘house of angel’ vibe into your home : )
