House Tour / A bounty-full bungalow

Overcome with excitement we barely slept the night before styling this property. Miss bounty-full bungalow was built in the early 1920’s, eventually becoming the home of just one family for over 60 years. She is oozing with original features, plus some extra quirks added during the middle of this century.

Perched on the slopes of Mount Victoria, with sweeping views of Auckland harbour, this home makes you feel on top of the world…queen of a castle.

Homes of this era are bold and demanding. Their scale requires courage. They were built in a time when one bought furniture that would last a lifetime - solid, well-upholstered… grand.

The new owners of this grand lady will no-doubt enjoy restoring her to the glory she deserves – miss bounty-full bungalow is a little tired – however, as our styling shows, it is entirely possibly to live beautifully in her spaces just as they are.
