Mood-board / My new Boho-Oasis called home

To celebrate the sun starting to show its glowing rays (occasionally!) I gave my home a spring makeover with the new Adairs Spring collection… it’s all about bringing the outside in – with woven rattan, jungle-inspired prints and loads of leafy greens : )

With soooo many choices it can be hard to decide what direction to take when doing a mini-makeover. The approach that works for me is to do a few initial loops of the store and collect the few things that I REALLY love. Then I find the common thread - be that colour, pattern or vibe - and build my collection around it. I instantly fell for the rattan chair (love the striped detailing) - Zebra cushion (something totally different for me) and the dusty sage cushions with ruffle edges (just a little bit feminine). That gave me a colour palette of black, white, green, cream and gold - and a jungle, relaxed weekend-vibe. Trouble is, now my bedroom is so inviting even Mindy the dog refuses to get up in the morning!

You can click the objects below to shop, or if there is something you love in our images which you can’t find online, call or drop into one of the Adairs stores – often the stores have products which haven’t made it online yet :)

I swapped out my hall bench for the Adairs ash console and what a game-changer! It’s the perfect size for my modest space. I can hide away the paperwork and usual bits-and-bobs that find their way to the hallway and display my favourite objects - which currently includes a collection of plants and ceramics… oh and a pink plastic pineapple for fun : )

All this jungle fever is giving me relaxing fever, so I’ve turned what’s usually a display shelf (and general dumping ground for piles of magazines!) into a comfy reading nook - complete with fun cushions, plenty of (no-care-needed) greenery and a few cosy throws : )

There’s no way my daughter Molly was missing out on an opportunity to ‘spring-fever’ her bedroom! So together we made her a woodland hide-away where - she has promised me - there will be some homework done!
