Curation perfection at the Auckland Fair
Twice a year, Auckland Fair organiser, Jessica Whiting– of FoxesBlog – does a quality job of bringing together a curated collection of New Zealands' best designers, artisans and crafters. It's an epic day (I have to confess to having a nap when I got home). All that creativity & awesomeness in one room is seriously invigorating. Here's what i came home with. A collection of goodies whose originality and uniqueness i will treasure forever.
The illustrated originals of Hello Birdy are both wonderfully whimsical and technically proficient.
It's the colour, shapes and quality of Smitten Design Textiles that appeal to me.
Sly & Co were a highlight for me last year and again they didn't disappoint. These funky hand-painted building blocks are absolutely unique.
Hard to walk past a cushion like this, just look at that trim! With details like that, Little Laneway will surely become a favourite.
The Ceramics of Miss Changy are so unusual and original I had to buy three pieces!
I wish Henry & Co linen had been around when I was a kid! So much fun and colour.
This little guy doesn't really have a use, but look at the face...just so cute! Crafterzan crochet critters make choice presents for kids (old & young!).
The quirky ceramic planter by Amaneandme is a perfect match with the mini volcano vase I found by Borrowed Earth.
